5 Reasons WWE Fastlane Will Be Hard To Top As The Worst Event Of 2015
3. A Dead Crowd
Great crowds can make wrestling shows so much fun. Look no further than each year's post-WrestleMania Raw for a perfect example of this. They can take an average match and make it a classic. Try watching Hulk Hogan vs. The Rock from WrestleMania X8 with the sound off. It's brutal. But crank that crowd noise up and it's an all-time moment. By that same token, a bad crowd really drags a show down and that's exactly what happened with Fastlane. Memphis just wasn't interested in buying what WWE was selling, and they expressed themselves by not expressing themselves. Even the main event lacked the usual heat - Daniel Bryan's "Yes!" chants were a little softer; the trademark spots from each man not quite as energetic. Memphis basically guaranteed themselves that they won't be landing on WWE's calendar for any big events for quite some time.
