Commentators frequently made comments about their show being superior and there were many angles/feuds featuring the rivalry and competition of the two brands. Every year the rivalry would culminate at the Survivor Series PPV (later on culminating at the Bragging Rights PPV) in a ten man elimination tag team match for brand supremacy. There have also been interpromotional matches featuring at Wrestlemania including the very first Money in the Bank ladder match. Admittedly interpromotional matches havent been the source of many classics over the years, but they were fun and had a purpose (be it a rather flimsy one) and would be favourable over PPV matches with no build whatsoever.
