Sable was the most popular diva in WWE during her initial run in the company from 1996 to 1999. Initially she was brought in as a valet for Hunter Hearst Helmsley, but then they joined her husband at the time, Marc Mero, as his valet. As time went on, she started to show more skin and became very popular on her own. She was a ratings draw as well as somebody that male fans absolutely loved. In June of 1999, she initially sued WWE for $110 million although that number became much smaller. Here's what it said in the AP story about it: "Pro wrestling champion Sable is suing the World Wrestling Federation for $110 million, complaining it wanted her to participate in a lesbian storyline, expose her breasts on TV and appear in sexually degrading photos. The lawsuit, filed Thursday in federal court, charges that professional wrestling has become increasingly obscene, titillating, vulgar and unsafe." No details were released about the lawsuit although they settled in August of 1999. Apparently things weren't that bad because Sable was brought back to the company four years later. She returned to WWE for about a year from April 2003 to August 2004. Her return surprised a lot of people because it was so rare to see somebody brought back after they sued WWE, but there she was five years after her lawsuit. A few years after that she married Brock Lesnar, who she met during her return to the company, and the couple has two sons together.
