5 Stars Who Should Be Thrilled Triple H Is In Charge Of WWE (And 5 Who Should Be Worried)

9. Thrilled - Ricochet

Yes, the thrilled wrestlers in this list are likely to be botched NXT call-ups, because Triple H understood their value. He saw what they could be for the future of the company and many of them were being groomed effectively to take over the mantles of established stars on the way out.

This week, we celebrated the twenty-year anniversary of Rey Mysterio’s debut. A hell of an achievement, but in those two decades, the WWE has tried, and failed, to find someone to pick up the role of the must-see, gravity-defying phenomenon that Mysterio created.

Ricochet can easily be that guy.

In NXT, he was. A featured player on every TakeOver, the ‘One and Only’ wasn’t just a clever nickname. The guy moves unlike anyone else in the company, and the fact that the WWE has failed to make him a star is outrageous. Instead of focusing on his fantastic looks, build and move set, they had him become an annoying geek who stole Sheamus’ hat. The one time they gave him a shot at the top belt, he was devoured in a minute.

The former Head of NXT knows what he has in Ricochet, and you only need to watch the breathtaking GIF of his confrontation with Velveteen Dream, to see that he also knows how to make the ‘One and Only’ stand out.
