5 Stars Who Should Be Thrilled Triple H Is In Charge Of WWE (And 5 Who Should Be Worried)

8. Worried - Goldberg

For too long now, Goldberg has been on Vince’s ‘Break glass in case of emergency' list. If he couldn’t get hold of Brock, then Vince would always turn to Big Bad Bill.

In 2016, Goldberg shocked everyone with his well-received return and subsequent feud with Lesnar. Aside from burying Kevin Owens and binning off the best storyline the company had in the Mania run-in, Goldberg’s run was an unmitigated success.

That’s where it should have ended. Since then, the constant use of Goldberg has been a case of diminishing returns, and his destruction of The Fiend soured even the last remaining Goldberg fans.

With Triple H, there will be no repeating of these mistakes, simply by the clear fact that Vince's McMahon son-in-law doesn’t like nor rate ‘Da Man’. This might harken back to the petty ‘WCW is inferior to WWE’ line that the Fed runs out, but you only have to return to 2003 to see the contempt with which The Game held Goldberg.

It’s unlikely that there will be a call to Goldberg for the next Saudi Show, when there is a gap in the system that had previously failed to produce stars.
