Long before it was revealed that Kurt Angle is Jason Jordan's dad, the Olympic gold medalist was playing the part of the Olympic home wrecker as he stuck his nose in Stephanie McMahon and Triple H's relationship.

After Kurt and Stephanie hugged on SmackDown to make Mr McMahon-Helmsley jealous, HHH and his wife's fancier took part in a Triple Threat match with Chris Jericho to determine the number one contender for The Rock's WWE Championship. Y2J was on the receiving end of a double pin fall which resulted in both his opponents advancing to SummerSlam, meaning Angle would be making his Summer Spectacular debut in the main event match.

This of course was the match with the Pedigree on the announce table that prematurely broke and saw Angle seemingly crack his skull off the arena floor. Don't try this at home etc etc etc. Kurt would spend the majority of the match on the outside.

After being hauled off the stretcher that was taking him to the back, Angle was involved in the finish by ducking out the way of a Triple H haymaker. In doing so, he ensured 'The Game' would send Stephanie, who got into the ring, down to the mat. The Rock then took advantage of this to win with a People's Elbow.
