3. Sucked: The ECW Zombie

If you thought WWE's crossover with Army of the Dead was ridiculous, then you'd better strap yourself in for this one.

It's hard to prove that you completely misunderstand a brand during its first show, but WWE did their 'darndest with this one. The return of ECW was something that had fans feeling thrilled yet terrified at the same time, as the world of sports entertainment could easily misunderstand what made ECW so great. Lo and behold, it totally did, and nothing made that clearer than seeing a man dressed as a zombie enter the ring.

This character looked about as cheap as the movies created by the broadcaster (SyFy), and this was made worse by the fact that his concept of a promo was standing in the ring and groaning. Although The Sandman did come and beat the creature within an inch of its not-life, it was still a massive indicator that this wasn't the ECW fans had fallen in love with.

Fans in attendance were so shocked by this weird decision that they actively sought cameras to play against, making the debut of this character an embarrassment for all. Although the gimmick was certainly awful, some time should still be spent paying respects to the performer behind it (Tim Arson) after his untimely death in 2015.
