2. Bobby Roode Is Officially NXT

The biggest news coming out of NXTs Download shows is unquestionably the unexpected in-ring debut of Bobby Roode. A former TNA World Heavyweight Champion and wrestlings hottest free agent, The IT Factor is now officially an NXT talent, following several weeks of speculation.

Making his first competitive appearance for the brand, Roode hit the ring for the first show on Day 2; getting the best of Angelo Dawkins in a short yet exciting bout.

The former Beer Money man was over big with the crowd on hand and the raucous reaction he received upon entry proved just that. The place became completely unglued from the very moment he appeared in his familiar sequined robe and it was clear to see he had the crowd in the palm of his hand from that point on.

The match itself was exactly what it had to be; a true exhibition of who and what Bobby Roode is as a pro wrestler, highlighting his key moves and most importantly getting him over as the solo superstar that he is. Roode made short work of Dawkins; connecting with his trademark Spinebuster before executing the Firemans Carry Neckbreaker for the win and making headlines worldwide in the process.

If the crowd reaction of Saturday was anything to go by, NXT has a very big and very over superstar on their hands in Bobby Roode.
