2. Don’t: The Women Tread Water On The Road To WrestleMania

The Elimination Chamber is to be held in Saudi Arabia this year. And while the nation has come on somewhat since the first WWE/Saudi collab - i.e they’ve actually permitted women to wrestle - it’s probably safe to assume that the women will not be taking part in the titular match.

With Elimination Chamber the only event on the road to WrestleMania, it begs the question: what are the women going to do between now and early April? Becky vs. Rousey has not been confirmed at the time of writing, but it’s likely going to be one of the main events. Presumably, Charlotte defends against Lita.

But what of the rest of the roster? All being well, Belair, Bayley, Banks, Ripley, and Asuka will all be raring to go in time for ‘Mania, and on current form, it’s hard to trust WWE to book anything coherent around these top tier stars.

While the problem goes way beyond the fact that we’re doing yet another show in Saudi Arabia, this money-led decision certainly exacerbates the matter, and is guaranteed to leave some incredibly talented women kicking their heels for many weeks.
