5 Things WWE Must Do With Bray Wyatt (And 5 They Mustn't)

3. Mustn’t - Try Too Hard To Make Him A “Triple H Guy”

… even if Triple H’s programming doesn’t tend to lean quite so heavily on that feel. For all that The Game’s NXT shows, and his WWE shows to date, have been great, they do tend to follow a bit of a pattern in the way the Vince era didn’t. We get fewer matches, each of which is given a good chunk of time. On the whole, the vibe is heavy on the sports, heavy on the actual wrestling.

Trying to shove the square peg of Bray Wyatt into this round hole would undoubtedly be a disaster. As said, no one’s tuning into the Wyatt segments for lengthy back and forth matches. We don’t want to see him exchanging holds with Chad Gable or putting his magical powers against Matt Riddle’s MMA background.

Wyatt is a chance for Triple H to expand the parameters of his programming, and he could be just what the new boss needed. While black and gold NXT was amazing in its day, the repetitive nature of the matches led to a certain staleness way before the day-glo 2.0 era.

WWE has enough airtime to cater to all tastes, and from the fan investment, it’s abundantly clear there’s a taste for Bray Wyatt - so long as he’s allowed to be himself…
