5 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Dark (Mar 24)

Ups...

5. Colt Conquers Cutler

Comedy is one of the most subjective aspects of pro-wrestling and if you aren't into Colt Cabana's shtick, you won't get much out of his match with Brandon Cutler.

If you are, however, it was a fun, light-hearted five-minuter with a good balance of gimmickry and solid action. Cabana's gameplan is to deceive by screwing around then take control with old-school technique. He's great at it and while the bout was largely about getting him some momentum, Cutler got to show more than usual as well, with the commentary team putting him over as a Young Bucks contemporary.

Cabana took the W on the road to facing 'Superbad' Kip Sabian after last week's Dynamite confrontation. He has quietly moved to 3-0 since inking with AEW, so perhaps big things are in his near future.
