5 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Rampage (Dec 3)

3. Tony Nese Takes His Chance

Good things are coming from Nese generally.

Guevara looked like a gusty little bastard by fighting through the pain and taking everything Tony had to offer, but Nese looked fab overall himself. This was his highest-profile AEW match thus far, and he can be damn proud of how well-worked it was on his end.

Everything Nese did had conviction, and Taz seemed to enjoy some of the weight he was putting behind strikes. It is true that Tony doesn't have the most personality (his promos are a little lightweight), but that can be developed, or hidden by a manager (Taz himself?!) and association with a stable.

This fan would love to see Nese wrestle Bryan Danielson at some point. They'd have a banger of a bout, and the same could be said for Nese vs. PAC, Jungle Boy or CM Punk. F*ck it, put him in some six-mans with FTR too and watch him soar to new heights.
