5 Ups & 1 Down From This Week's Impact Wrestling (Oct 11)
1. Ceasefire No More
Perhaps the most intense and controversial rivalry in Impact today is that between the LAX and the OGz. After all, a literal child was struck by a car.
To keep things civil between the two warring factions ahead of their Bound For Glory bout, a ceasefire was put in place to ensure some serious consequences if there was any physical altercation. Surprisingly, it's a rule that was actually stuck to. Since when do you see that in wrestling these days?
The contract came to an end on this week's episode and thus, the show ended with a big schmozz brawl between the two sides. This was a fresh sight to see after several weeks of non-physical quarrels. Granted, you could argue that the ceasefire should've lasted until BFG itself so the payoff would be better, but it served its justice by happening on the go-home show.
Homicide and Hernandez's match with Ortiz and Santana from Slammiversary was an exhilarating contest so if this lives up to the hype, we may be looking at one of Impact's best contests from 2018.
