Ups…

5. Good, We Guess?

As someone who doesn’t get to watch SmackDown often, this writer was kind of interested in seeing Roman Reigns’ presentation these days.

After a 3+ minute intro and walk to the ring, complete with two rounds of pyro, Reigns finally revved up and delivered a pretty solid promo as fans taunted him. He dug into his history with Brock Lesnar to note that he’s never beaten the Beast at WrestleMania, and recalled how Brock split his head open at WM 34.

Roman called the feud personal and pledged to make Sunday the last step in his plot to rob Lesnar of everything, culminating in taking his title.

All in all, this feud from a distance certainly feels like a big WrestleMania match – the fact there are two titles involved kind of makes it a big deal, right? – but the “Biggest WrestleMania match of all time?”

So yeah, this feud has had the requisite vehicle destruction, chases through arenas, intense promos and the like, and it’s a big deal. And Roman’s promo was a nice touch. But while it’s enough for an “up,” it certainly wasn’t a home run that you might want for the “biggest match” in Mania history.
