5 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Rampage (Sep 17)

1. Focus In The Wrong Places

Matt Hardy Orange Cassidy Fan AEW
AEW

If the pitchforks were out for that last entry, then they'll be jammed right up a certain writer's butt following this one too. However, it is true that Matt Hardy is one of the least-entertaining acts on AEW programming these days. His 'Big Money Matt' gimmick is flat and lifeless.

So flat and lifeless that not even Orange Cassidy could save the day.

Well, he technically did save the day by walking (not running) out to save a cosplaying fan from further humiliation at the hands of Hardy and Jack Evans. They were busy shaving the poor chap's head when Orange chased them off and walked a few steps closer to certain mediocrity vs. Matt at some point in the near future.

This guy has always been a huge Matt Hardy fan, but his AEW run hasn't been great. One would much rather see Cassidy wrestle someone like Evans than step in there with Matt - he's much better-deployed as a veteran mouthpiece these days.
