5 Ups & 2 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (April 4)

1. Wyatt's Faulty Shenanigans

The Wyatt vs. Orton feud didn't have a strong week, and their struggles continued in the night's main event. As established in the opening segment, it was Wyatt and Rowan vs. Harper and Orton, and while this sounds strong on paper, it didn't deliver. Though not a horrendous match by any stretch of the imagination, it was slow, plodding, and failed at holding the crowd's attention.

Rowan and Wyatt were made to look dominant at the start, but they were flattened by the end. As was the case at WrestleMania, Bray's supernatural powers backfired on him, though there were no maggots and cockroaches this time. Instead, the lights cut out following Orton's draping DDT: Bray teleported to the ramp, Rowan attempted to use the distraction, but Randy blasted him with an RKO for the victory.

Another loss for Wyatt, whose aura and mystique have once again been consigned to the scrapyard. The character has unfortunately devolved to his campy, hokey worst in recent weeks, and while there's no word on what the "House of Horrors" match is at the moment, it'll no doubt involve more of his goofy shenanigans. A bad week for Wyatt and Orton overall, and one that did their supporting cast no favours either.
