5 Ups & 2 Downs From Last Night's WWE NXT (4 Sept)
1. DreamReever
Hard to know what to make of this perfunctory performance from the North American Champion as he put away Kona Reeves with relative ease.
NXT follows the jobber squash formula for the most part, but said contests should always be a constant showcase for the wrestlers getting the win. Here, Dream didn't bring half the pomp he always does to his promos, nor particularly sell what should have been a powerful post-match sh*tstir from Roderick Strong.
The Undisputed Era man set fire to his sofa in a visual that looked better there than it does written down here (and crucially, will lend itself well to video packages), but Dream's half-arsed response didn't exactly suggest that the flames of revenge burned as bright within him. This week was, subsequently, a rare miss.
