5 Ups & 2 Downs From Last Night's WWE NXT (4 Sept)
Ups...
5. Bright and Breezy
Chase Parker and Matt Martel had f*cking fantastic music, a link to numerous Canadian duos on commentary and 15 years of chemistry to support their show-opening effort against the reformed and reinvigorated Breezango. Matching Tyler Breeze and Fandango for comedy as well as combative quality was an additional treat for the Full Sail crowd.
Advancing beyond mere function during the match, Martel and Parker were emotive with their aggression despite the inevitable defeat.
The Fashion Faux Pas put The Forgotten Sons away before TakeOver: Toronto, and did the same here, but this was no loss for the fresh faces sporting the Fleur-de-lis. With time to build on what they clearly already have (and a much bigger stage upon which to perform), the heels could be as well-placed for a push as the brilliant dancing fools that defeated them.
