5 Ups & 2 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Feb 9 - Results & Review)

1. There Was No Drama

Bianca Belair Michin

Both male qualifiers for Elimination Chamber had some intrigue to them. Sure, Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton were the most likely winners, but that was never nailed on due to the strength of AJ Styles and Sami Zayn as opponents. Sadly, Bianca Belair vs. Michin didn't carry the same intrigue.

Belair was always winning, and everyone knew it.

These women worked hard, but fans haven't really ever been given much of a reason to care about Mia Yim. She's been pushed to the side alongside the rest of The OC whilst AJ shows off a harder edge. This is something creative must remember when they're booking bouts like this one - the lack of character development hurts.

Fans politely cheered for most of Belair's signature moves, but it was obvious early that this was the designated popcorn match for many in the arena. It was impossible to envision Bianca missing out on the Chamber slot in favour of Michin. Simple as that.
