5 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dark (Jun 30)

Ups...

5. Friends?

Peter Avalon and Brandon Cutler have provided Dark's main storyline over the past few months and last night brought a significant development, as the duo actually shook hands after their match with The Young Bucks, accepting that perhaps this union is best for both of them after all.

This came following a night of bickering. Avalon and Cutler argued in the opening segment, telling a production assistant that they didn't want to work together anymore. There was some fun back-and-forth as the Bucks stepped into the scene, poked fun at their old TNA run, and plugged their book, before Cutler and Avalon went their separate ways.

Simple, logical storytelling, with the duo bonding after a high-effort defeat. It isn't everybody's cup of tea, but AEW is doing a good job with it.
