5 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dark (Oct 8)

4. Luchasaurus Rules

While not received with the same rapturous enthusiasm as his Fight for the Fallen and All Out performances, Luchasaurus' run through SoCal Uncensored was the undoubted highlight of their six-man tag.

His hot tag is one of the most exciting things in wrestling right now. It's a simple pleasure, but watching this big, athletic monster of a man run through his opponents with moves he really shouldn't be able to do is a guaranteed crowd-popper. Jurassic Express structure it well, too. Though Jungle Boy gets plenty of offense himself, he'll do the bulk of the selling as the face-in-peril, while Marko Stunt is just a straight-up pest. It's a great dynamic and the way these guys build to Lucahsaurus running wild doesn't get talked about enough.

The big man's moment came soon after absorbing some tandem SCU offence. He was decked, but sat bolt upright like a prehistoric Undertaker, kipped up, then kicked the sh*t out of Frankie Kazarian. Luchasaurs then lifted Scorpio Sky into the ring by his throat, nailed a Flapjack, and Chokeslammed Kaz as his little buddies dived to the outside. Cue: the standing Moonsault and a two-count.

Luchasaurus isn't the best big man in wrestling right now, but he is an absolute hoot.
