5 Ups & 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (July 18)

2. The Truth Is Out There

The Fashion Files should have jumped the shark a long time ago. Tyler Breeze & Fandango have been doing their thing for months now, but their antics are still funny, and they’re not getting stale yet. Given WWE’s history of running comedy acts into the ground, this is a huge surprise, and it wouldn’t be shocking to learn that Breezango have complete creative freedom to write these segments on their own.

Last night’s offering was the ‘Fashion X-Files,’ with Breeze playing Scully, and Fandango as Mulder. Stood before a pinboard covered with Easter eggs, the duo started freaking about ghosts and aliens, with ‘Dango confusing a delivery guy for a "little green man." They opened the package, and were horrified with what they found, as Fandango pulled out Tully the stuffed horse’s decapitated head, and a crude note reading "Battleground.”

It looks like we’re getting the long-awaited conclusion to this saga on Sunday night, which should launch Breezango into their next feud. Regardless of who is behind these heinous acts, the Fashion Police have already established themselves as one of SD’s most consistently entertaining acts, and the storyline should be a lot of fun at the very least.
