5 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (23 Aug - Results & Review)
1. Austin Theory Needs To Turn Yesterday
A-Town Down Under have been teasing a split for months without properly getting a move on with it. Countless babyfaces keep telling Austin Theory the truth, but he's content to repeatedly get egg on his face thanks to so-called mate Grayson Waller. His babyface turn must happen soon before people lose interest.
It's time.
The team aren't exactly tearing it up together anymore anyway. They've always had chemistry, but if Triple H isn't going to patch things up and book them as a serious unit, then he needs to be careful with Theory. It's unnecessary to make Austin look like a total tool who can't see the obvious (that Waller is using him as backup and nothing more).
Trips might be hesitant to take the plunge 'cause Theory and Waller are useful for tags like the main event one vs. Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens here, but there's a bigger story at play. Namely, Theory's babyface rise. Dunno, have regular fourth wall breaker KO lay it out for Austin in a heart to heart or something.
