5 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Aug 5)

2. Karrion Kross & Scarlett

It'd be hard to give this anything other than an 'Up', because Karrion Kross and Scarlett bursting back onto the scene was a neat surprise to close out SmackDown. It's also smashing to see one of WWE's best double acts of the past few years back together onscreen.

Triple H will bend over backwards to make sure this works.

Arguably, WWE could've waited until after Drew McIntyre's Undisputed Title shot vs. Roman Reigns on Clash At The Castle to pull the trigger on this, but having more questions than answers coming out of Friday's show isn't exactly a bad thing. You want cliffhanger endings? Well, here you go.

WWE cannot be tut-tutted by the same audience who'd yawn through some of Vince McMahon's tepid TV conclusions. Now, overnight, SmackDown has a new heavyweight to shine the spotlight on. He's also one of Hunter's boys, and that means he'll be taken seriously by creative.
