5 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Aug 5)

1. You Know What’s Coming Next, Right?

The Usos Sami Zayn

Sami Zayn is about to become The Bloodline's sacrificial lamb.

WWE dedicated a bunch of backstage segments to Sami's ongoing bid to impress the stable and become a full-time member. Jimmy Uso tolerated some of it, whereas Jey just has no time for Zayn rocking up in Bloodline colours and expecting to be part of the family.

This is a good little sub-story, and it's surely heading towards Sami vs. Karrion Kross in the near future. The Bloodline will demand that Zayn proves himself to them by taking care of a new threat to Roman Reigns, and the resultant bouts will be very, very fun.

Sami can work with anybody, Kross will be motivated to show that he belongs in WWE's headline pack, and this all ties in neatly with the narrative thus far. It's a no-brainer to stick Zayn vs. Karrion in the main event slot on a forthcoming SmackDown, or even pop them on the undercard come Clash.
