4. Karrion Kross Excels

This guy questioned the randomness of Karrion Kross feuding with Rey Mysterio because some tarot cards told him to. Thankfully, Kross' talent came to the fore and rescued the situation this week. He cut a super-strong promo on Rey in the trainer's room on SmackDown, and it might've just made the rivalry click.

Someone give that lad a bonus.

All those lines about putting an old horse out of its misery, and linking that in with Scarlett's Romanian heritage, worked a treat. They were bleak, but very relevant to Mysterio's current career circumstances; he's nearing the end of the road, and has even been ditched by his own son Dominik.

Karrion is wonderful when he goes for a Jake Roberts-ish ominous promo. He's actually better at delivering those than he is getting all heel 101 shouty, and this was proof of that. Credit to Rey for sitting there stone-faced rather than sending Kross/Scarlett packing too.
