There's no need to sugarcoat things. Most guest commentary performances under the WWE banner are absolutely f*cking horrendous. When workers aren't freezing and stammering their way through awkward dialogue, they're completely failing to pay attention to what's happening on the monitor and interrupting the actual announcers.

John Morrison and Big E were different.

Morrison was the better of the two, and that's saying something considering how natural E comes across on the headset. JoMo didn't sound nervous at all, was well-informed about recent storyline history and even found the time to poke fun at New Day's love of pancakes over winning matches recently.

His stellar guest commentary brought out the best in Big E too. Any wrestlers about to get behind the desk and join Michael Cole and Corey Graves should study this segment, because it was a masterclass in knowing when to take charge and when to bow out.
