5 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (March 20)

Ups...

5. The Miz & JoMo's OTT Impersonations

Here's a lesson WWE need to learn: Rob Gronkowski is a babyface, and thus he shouldn't be dying on screen deaths in bad comedy angles. Meanwhile, The Miz and John Morrison are heels, so they can get away with looking like morons.

In other words, comedy only suits certain workers, and it should never be used to introduce ex-NFL players that some fans are already skeptical of. Rob's goofy antics were ridiculously stupid, but Miz and JoMo playing dress-up was ridiculously silly in a good way. They're supposed to be obnoxious.

Though the SmackDown Tag Champs impersonating New Day, The Usos and Heavy Machinery was dumb, it was kept short and is totally the kind of thing they'd have put on old episodes of the 'Dirt Sheet' back in the day. Again, they're the bad guys, so it's not a problem that their dialogue wasn't Dave Chappelle in his prime kinda' material.

Cartoonish heels going over-the-top is completely different to crossover celeb babyfaces trying the same thing.
