5 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (March 20)

2. Drew Gulak's Golden Opportunity

Another bonus to that already-sparkling tag match was Drew Gulak's continuing shine.

After the show, WWE confirmed on their website that Gulak will wrestle Shinsuke Nakamura on next week's episode. If he wins (which he probably will), then Daniel Bryan will work Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania. Good times all round, people. This is simple, easy-to-follow pro wrestling fare.

That's a positive. Gulak was freezing his butt off on the outskirts of the SmackDown roster just a month or so ago, and now he's involved in a potentially-long term story with a major name like Bryan. Plus, Gulak can eventually target Daniel's IC belt should his friend bag it on either 4 or 5 April.

WWE have a story here that can last until the summer, or even beyond that if they play their cards right and don't get impatient. Bryan and Gulak, as partners, can challenge for the Tag Titles, go for singles belts and then eventually feud against one another again.
