5 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (May 22)
1. A Universally Dumb Decision
Sacrificing The Miz and John Morrison to Braun Strowman at Backlash is another head-scratching decision from WWE's writers. They're taking one of the finest heel tandems on the entire roster and feeding them to an occasionally buffoonish babyface just for the sake of it.
That's seriously crap booking.
Miz and Morrison, numbers advantage and all, pose zero threat to Braun's reign as Universal Champion. How the heck is the big guy supposed to build a good run in the SmackDown hot seat if he's fed this kind of subpar garbage? He won't gain much from beating the wannabe rappers, and losing to one man damages their own street cred with fans.
Also, Miz mentioned that he's still haunted by the impact Bray Wyatt had on his life. Why the fudge would he want to win the Universal belt and instantly become Wyatt's target again then? None of this makes any sense, and it reeks of pay-per-view filler.
