Somehow, Cena vs. Heyman wasn't the most effective promo duel on the show. LA Knight pitting his wits against Roman Reigns was, and the pair deserve every accolade for ploughing through cracking hype for their own title match next week. This contract signing wasn't a waste of anyone's time.

Roman let Knight keep interrupting him and take the lead throughout. At first, the champ laughed off notions that LA could beat him, but that didn't last long. Eventually, Knight rattled Reigns bit by bit and started to get under his skin. Simply put, that was a really fun way to play things out.

LA even overpowered the 'Tribal Chief' physically before Jimmy Uso ran in for the save. That "save" ended with Jimmy crashing through a table and Knight standing tall. Sweet baby Jesus, this skit made Knight look like a million bucks and a serious threat to Reigns.

Phenomenal character work.
