5 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Sept 8)

Downs...

3. The Bloodline Stutters

This almost made the 'Ups' by default, because it still feels so strange to place anything Bloodline-related in the 'Downs' section. It is what it is. Sadly, Jimmy Uso's story (whilst worth waiting on to see if it gets good) just isn't as immediately interesting as Jey's was/is.

Questions must be asked about whether or not laying bare the in/out nature of Jimmy's status is wise. Uso and Paul Heyman did that during a brief backstage exchange, and their skit won't appease anybody who reckons Bloodline stuff has lost serious steam since SummerSlam.

There was another flaw with the segment too.

Jimmy loudly asked Heyman what they should do about AJ Styles. Then, Paul E walked around 20 paces away from Uso and bumped into...AJ. He was standing by some merch table, meaning he would've heard the pair chatting and they would've been able to see him too.
