5 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Sept 8)

2. Wasn’t Feeling It

Something felt a wee bit off about the headliner as well.

Again, fans don't seem as invested in Jimmy's tale as they were when Jey was in/out of The Bloodline. Judgment Day showing up to attack AJ Styles was also pretty random too; they've got enough on their plate, and already lined up The Street Profits as potential challengers earlier.

Besides, The OC have been crumbling, so this was an odd choice and seemed to happen for the sake of it rather than because it made any sort of sense. Were creative scrambling a tad this week due to some of the roster being over in India for Superstar Spectacle? That's what it seemed like at times.

AJ vs. Jimmy wasn't a patch on last week's Styles vs. Solo Sikoa showing. That's pretty damning on Jimmy. He's a character who really must get moving before it's too late, 'cause fans in arenas aren't reacting to him like WWE must've hoped.

Who can blame them? He's all over the place.
