5 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Collision (11 May - Results & Review)

2. More Rampage Than They’d Care To Admit

Thunder Rosa Robyn Renegade
AEW

Thunder Rosa vs. Robyn Renegade was perhaps the most brutal lull on Collision. It wasn't needed, and came out looking like something that'd be more at home on Rampage most weeks. When the 'C' show is in its usual Friday night slot, that is. It was part of a three-hour block next to Collision on Saturday.

The live crowd, who had been hot all night for literally everything else, died a death early on during the match and never really came back. Thunder is a live wire for sure, but even AEW's most hardcore fans struggle to care about bouts against workers (Renegade) who have never been portrayed as a true threat or all that important.

Again, this match didn't need to be on the card.

It was around seven minutes of wrestling for the sake of it. Sure, one could say that about a lot of the other matches on this show, but at least they were entertaining and/or had some sort of follow-on promo to help make them watchable. Not so for Rosa vs. Robyn, sadly.
