5 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Collision (11 May - Results & Review)

1. The Squash Nobody Needed

Daniel Garcia
AEW

Why was this booked?

Genuinely baffled as to what Daniel Garcia beating KM in around two minutes was supposed to achieve. Seeing Danny tear down a much bigger opponent this way doesn't even work for an underdog character like him. Also, the clash was part of a back-to-back squash match double act, which was downright poor.

Whilst true there was a crucial angle sandwiched in between them, yeah...AEW booked two squash bouts in a row on Collision, and that was bad planning. Matt Menard gamely tried to explain that Garcia was finally showing a selfish streak by being ruthless, but he was fighting a losing battle on guest commentary there.

Finally, screw that moron who ran into the ring before being tackled by security. All Elite's cameras caught a glimpse of that, but swiftly cut away to Garcia talking some smack at the foot of the entrance ramp. Sorry, but any wrestling "fan" who rushes the ring mid-show is an idiot and deserves zero sympathy.
