5 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dark (Feb 4)

5. Jurassic Express Roll Through Kiss & Cutler

Jungle Boy Luchasaurus
AEW

As a solid, functional, dual-purpose opener with plenty of fun action, it's hard to see Brandon Cutler and Sonny Kiss vs. Jurassic Express as anything other than a success.

Jungle Boy and Marko Stunt's victory gives them a nice lick of momentum. In defeat, the ongoing Dark Order/Cutler storyline is advanced. Evil Uno and Grayson have been pursuing him for a while and actually defeated the same duo on last week's Dark, meaning Sonny could feasibly become a target himself. It's not the biggest, most important, or most impactful story in the company, but they're telling it in a way that makes sense.

Stunt was as over as he usually is here and made his opponents look like hosses, despite Cutler's own lean frame. He ended up scoring the fall on Brandon following a double-team rolling Cutter with Jungle Boy, who had a solid, crowd-popping bout himself. A nice, record-padding triumph for Luchasaurus' baby boys.
