5 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dark (Sep 29)
1. John Silver & Colt Cabana vs. The Natural Nightmares
A clear highlight of the night inside the ring and out, this was all about furthering the tension between Colt Cabana and the rest of The Dark Order.
Colt keeps costing his stable victories. John Silver addressed this with Evil Uno backstage, with Uno urging Silver to trust his judgment, asserting that Cabana could become an integral part of their group. It all bled into the ring as Uno attempted to coach Cabana from ringside and John bossed him around. They were able to overcome their issues late on, taking control of the bout and seemingly edging towards victory, before miscommunication led to Colt screwing up a double team move and costing his side another win.
The right outcome, and The Dark Order got the "lack of chemistry" story over well. Dustin Rhodes deserves a nod, too: this was a strong, high-effort performance from the veteran, who even flew from the apron with a flipping Senton... on Dark!
