5 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dynamite (27 April)

4. Fiery Babyface CM Punk

There's no telling what AEW originally had planned for its World Championship program last night, as Hangman Page's COVID confirmation robbed audiences of another interaction between him and CM Punk, but at least the match was put together. Punk and Page will face off at Double Or Nothing 2022, as confirmed following Dax Harwood vs. Cash Wheeler.

Punk responded to the news with a great, fiery babyface promo. While the feud's latter stages will likely require him to tap into heel qualities, he was a great time-filler on Dynamite, saying that he set out on a quest to discover if he was still capable of standing there as 'The Best in the World.' He might not beat Page in Las Vegas, but he'll give him a fight - and he'll go until the wheels fall off.

As always with things like this, the quality primarily comes from the delivery. This is never in doubt with Punk. He and Page are going to sell the hell out of what might be the least predictable World Title match in AEW history.
