5 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dynamite (April 3 - Results & Review)

Downs...

4. The "Just There" Element Of Mercedes Moné Continues

In a live promo, Willow Nightingale cut a nice speech detailing her journey through the Massachusetts indie circuit. She was confident, humble and as inordinately likeable as ever. She thanked the crowd for believing in her, said those cheers fuel her, and set out her mission to become the smiling face of TBS.

She was interrupted by Mercedes Moné, who confirmed that "whoever is the champion" between Willow and Julie Hart after Dynasty will face her at Double Or Nothing in Las Vegas.

Wonder who will win the match at Dynasty, since Moné and Nightingale have been linked in storylines since Moné's arrival. Last night's Dynamite took place on April 3, Double Or Nothing is happening on May 26, 2024. The next 53 days of AEW TV were entirely telegraphed by this signpost of an "angle". To end the segment, Moné walked down the aisle and did her pose to the sound of her entrance theme.

It's not great, any of this, let's face it.
