5 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (Sept 16)

Downs...

4. Why Rush, Eh?

Brody King Julia Hart Matt Hardy
AEW

There was nothing wrong with Brody King's challenge to Darby Allin and Sting. Even Brody using Matt Hardy as a lure to sway the babyfaces was smart, but...how f*cking slow were Darbs and the Stinger here? It was like they didn't care one bit that Matt was being battered.

So much for that respectful fist bump post-match, eh?

Honestly, this all needed to be a bit more urgent. Hardy also should've been mad that his fellow faces sauntered down to ringside rather than running. If AEW wanted to present some knife-edge scenario whereby King would bring the hammer down if Allin/Sting didn't hurry their decision, then they failed.

It's surprising that Sting was this laid back. He's a veteran, so he should know that this'd look a bit daft. Sorry, but this one is on the babies more than Brody - his promo was solid, and his choke (complete with Julia Hart leg sweep) deserved better.
