5 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (Sept 16)

3. Urgh! Move On!

Hangman Page The Dark Order
AEW

Hangman Page is still hanging around with The Dark Order.

That should be enough for this entry, because that union needed to dissolve a long time ago. Instead, Tony Khan keeps up this pretence that the core audience cares about their friendship like it's one of wrestling's greatest love-ins. It isn't. It sucks, and holds Hangman back.

This guy isn't a big fan of yet another Battle Royal being announced either. How many of these can one promotion book? It's like Tony has two buttons in his office; one for multi-mans and one for tournaments. He just pushes them at random whenever something happens.

It's unrealistic to expect every promo to be memorable, but this was an unbelievable waste of everybody's time. Hangman said nothing of note, The Order stood around saying sod all, and Rush's generic threats did little to sell the Battle Royal as must-see.
