5 Ups & 4 Downs From Last Night's Impact Wrestling (Jun 14)

5. Path Of Destruction

If there was ever a phrase to describe Michael Elgin's wrestling career, it would have to be 'path of destruction'. Everywhere he goes, he leaves a trail of broken and battered bodies behind him with a handful of championships along the way. His tenure thus far in Impact has been the exact same, bar the championships that is (for now anyway).

After he pinned Willie Mack in the main event this week, he turned his attention to current X Division Champion and Mack's closest friend Rich Swann, who couldn't see his pal being attacked any further. Cue Johnny Impact to run in, who saved Elgin from being beaten up. Now, if there's anyone who doesn't need to be saved from a beating, it's Elgin. By the time the show faded to black, Impact also found himself laid out at the hands of Michael Elgin - that's what he gets for turning his back.

The only thing Elgin wants is the World Championship. If Brian Cage isn't back in time for Slammiversary, then Big Mike may become even more dangerous than he already is. Either way, it'll be bad news for the rest of the roster.
