5 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE NXT (Aug 12)

1. Match Of The Night

If you enjoyed Keith Lee vs. Dominik Dijakovic at TakeOver: Portland this past February, then you must've liked Bronson Reed vs. Damian Priest on Wednesday night. It was another clash between big boys who can move, and was a fine showcase for both before they work TakeOver XXX's ladder match.

Reed's rise continued with a win, but Priest hardly looked weak due to the roll-up finish. It was in WWE's best interests to book a surprise conclusion to this one anyway - the North American Title scene needs to look competitive before TakeOver. Being honest, the set up for the ladder six man hasn't been smooth, so what happened between Reed and Priest was a step in the right direction.

Here's hoping next week maintains the same kind of oneupmanship.

These guys had the best match of the episode by far. It was marred slightly by the commercial break, which is admittedly unavoidable, but did show that there's a market for more of the hard-bumping, slick action Lee and Dijakovic worked previously.
