5 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE Raw (21 Oct - Results & Review)

2. Telegraphing A DQ Finish

WWE Raw Jakara Jackson Lash Legend

The moment it was revealed that Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend were at ringside for the Damage CTRL/Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez match, that instantly became the permission slip to ignore everything that happened.

Sure enough, the impromptu tag match – set up by an interview interruption backstage – ended in a disqualification, all to further Tuesday’s match on NXT between Damage CTRL and Jackson and Legend. That match should be a pure carry job from the Japanese superstars, but it could surprise.

That could have been forgiven if the Raw match was at least good, but Raquel Rodriguez dragged down large parts of it. To be fair to her, she has battled mast cell activation syndrome for much of this year, so it might be a matter of getting in her reps. But Raquel did not look good at all Monday night, leading to a dull, disjointed match that then had a non-finish fans could see coming a kilometer away.

Hoping for Rodriguez to recover, but the longer it goes without her recapturing that spark from a couple of years ago, the tougher it will be to believe.
