5 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE Raw (July 24)

4. “Have Fun In Rehab!”

Rhea Ripley Liv Morgan

Time for more honesty: This writer wasn't too excited about the thought of Liv Morgan stepping up to Rhea Ripley in a competitive back-and-forth match when it was announced. So, the angle WWE went with instead worked. It was 10x more effective than some five-minute bout would've been.

Rhea repeating her arm stomp trick with the steel chair just because she could (in front of medics, no less) sold how vicious she's capable of being, and it'll give Raquel Rodriguez motivation to challenge Ripley soon. That, if handled properly, could be quite the physical marvel to rival recent Rhea belters vs. Natalya and others.

This chair angle did more for the mini-feud than Ripley beating Liv in a straight-up match ever could. It's in-character for an alpha female like Rhea to (literally) stomp all over the competition when she has the chance, and gives Morgan some time to heal up from real injuries too.

Wins all round.
