5 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE Raw (Oct 24)

1. Distractions R Us

Another week, another plethora of distraction finishes littering Raw. It’s becoming an epidemic.

Raw featured seven matches Monday night. One was an Omos squash. Of the remaining six, five matches had a distraction or interference as part of the finish. That’s absolutely maddening. Only Elias versus Chad Gable ended cleanly, and even then, Otis interfered on the outside.

You can’t keep doing this and expect it not to backfire with fans. They’re just going to count on a distraction in every match because it already happens way more than half the time. Yes, there are times it’s more than warranted, but other times, it’s just lazy, unimaginative booking.

And that’s the indictment here. For all the praise being heaped on this new regime for being some revelation, they still are booking sh*tty finishes on Raw every week.
