5 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (7 Feb - Results & Review)
1. This Was More Like It For Drew

Drew McIntyre vs. Jimmy Uso vs. LA Knight didn’t need the clumsy promo preamble before it, but the match itself was damn good. McIntyre winning and getting the Elimination Chamber slot was pretty obvious going in. However, agents laying the bout out gave Jimmy and Knight enough to keep things fun and interesting. Also, Drew looking dominant and like an emerging threat to Cody by the end was cool.
That's on the cards, isn't it? There's no way McIntyre jumps to SmackDown without taking a crack at the WWE Title after WrestleMania 41. Either CM Punk or John Cena will beat him to the punch in Las Vegas, but Triple H is right to line up challengers for Cody or whomever the champion is coming out of April. If only they had something like this heading into the Chamber PLE, because Solo Sikoa's possible challenge feels a bit second rate.
Drew cut the smiling 'just here for a good time' act after dropping his microphone. In-ring, he was all business and the three way was better for it. Let that be a lesson to you, WWE: McIntyre is a better heel when he's angry and has a chip on his shoulder. He proved that when working one of the greatest Hell In A Cell wars ever vs. Punk late last year.
If nothing else, at least fans know they're guaranteed some stunning matches during Drew's stay on Smackers. This was another solid entry for a guy who's having one of his best runs yet. Like Bianca Belair on the women's side, the men's Chamber match is better for his inclusion.
