5 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Apr 10)

2. Missed Opportunity

It was the right result to have Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross retain their Women's Tag Titles (despite the fact that this rematch should never have happened. WWE has forgotten about their own "no automatic rematches" clause). It wasn't cool to see creative abandon progression and miss a glaring opportunity.

Asuka should've hit green mist on Kairi Sane post-match.

WWE should move on from The Kabuki Warriors team. Asuka has shown in recent singles bouts that she'd be much better-utilised as a mouthy, veteran heel who's teflon and can put help establish the next wave of female stars. Meanwhile, Sane would be better as the spunky babyface she was on NXT.

This was the perfect chance to make steps towards that, but WWE didn't take it. Now, Asuka and Kairi look like a mediocre team spinning their wheels, and it's high time they were split.
