5 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Apr 10)

1. A Second Triple Threat Tag Title Match Makes No Sense

The odd Triple Threat ladder bout for the SmackDown Tag-Team Titles at 'Mania just about worked because Kofi Kingston, Jimmy Uso and John Morrison grafted hard and took some insane chances. Here's the thing: WWE had to turn it into a singles effort because of circumstances outwith their control.

They didn't have to announce a spin-off on SmackDown.

Instead of explaining why The Miz was posted missing from WrestleMania though, WWE decided to suddenly pretend that only one half of a team is needed for each title defence. That's ridiculous, totally unnecessary and dumps all over the purpose of tag-team wrestling.

Next week, Big E, Jey Uso and Miz will collide in another three-way, presumably without the ladder tag-on this time. What's the point? Why not just do the three-way tag match that was promised in the first place? This was seriously poor booking.
