5 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Apr 10)

3. That Painful Miz & Morrison Song

Don't let the word "painful" trick you into thinking The Miz and John Morrison deserve to be anything other than a strong 'Up'. Yes, their musical performance was about as polished as a Pitbull mini-gig at WrestleMania 33, but (much like Corey Graves' obnoxious commentary), it was supposed to be annoying.

That was the point.

Seeing the pair perform their rap-heavy tune to an empty arena like they were headlining Madison Square Garden was a nifty example of classic heel behaviour. Don't kid yourself - as cheesy as this song is, it would get some fans singing if live crowds were still allowed. It's so bad it's almost good.

Miz and Morrison have stumbled upon a quirky goldmine with their woefully out-of-touch rapping and quasi-jabs at one another during promos. They're the best choice as SmackDown Tag-Team Champions right now and going forwards.
